Privacy policy
Draft. This policy must be reviewed against the finished system before the first paying customer.
Controller
NORPOD AS, org.nr 916 724 047, Gaustadalléen 21, Oslo, Norway. Questions: post@vokter.art.
What we store
Enquiry data: if you send us an order request, we store your name, email address, country, phone number if you give one, whatever you write in the note, and the configuration you chose. We use it to prepare and send your offer and to answer your questions. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
If you don't go ahead, we delete enquiry data after 12 months.
Account data, once you become a customer: your name, email address, delivery address and billing details. Payment card details are held by our payment provider, never by us.
Measurement data: temperature, relative humidity and movement events from your sensors, with timestamps and the name you give each sensor. We do not collect sound, images or video, and the sensors have no microphone or camera.
Why
To deliver the service you are paying for: to calculate your normal range, to decide when to alert you, and to show you history in the app. Legal basis is performance of the contract.
How long
Measurement data is kept for as long as your subscription is active and for 90 days after it ends, then deleted. Invoices and accounting records are kept for as long as Norwegian accounting law requires. You can ask us to delete your account data at any time.
Who else sees it
Our hosting, connectivity and payment providers, acting as processors under contract. We do not sell data and we do not share it with insurers, advertisers or third parties for their own purposes.
Where it is kept
Measurement and account data is stored on servers within the EEA. If we ever need to use a provider outside the EEA, we will only do so with the safeguards the GDPR requires, and we will say so here first.
How it is protected
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to the people who need it to run the service, and we keep a record of who has it.
Your rights
Access, correction, deletion, portability and objection. Write to post@vokter.art. You may also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
